Made in bronze to the lost wax. The brooch is related to the snakes and dragons that were used as figureheads and as support posts within the Viking ships. This same image is brought to the jewelery by the Vikings through brooches and bracelets.
I have been found in multiple viking archaeological vestiges of the country, dating from 900 AD.
Its name is honor to Gunnhild, daughter of Gorm the old man and Thyra, last viking kings of Denmark.
